We are experienced in re-training armed forces service leavers and we offer level 3 accredited courses which enable you to choose the trades you wish to study.
Our centre is accredited by City & Guilds, Cskills, Open College Network, British Plumbers Employment Council (BPEC), OCR, Highfield and EAL and our centre is approved by The Tile Association (TTA) as an associated tiling training centre. Construction Skills College is also accredited to the Matrix Standard which is in recognition of the high standard of information, advice and guidance we provide.

The courses on offer are ideal to help you achieve your aims be they:
- You may be an experienced trades person wishing to add new skills to your portfolio or needing to achieve relevant qualifications, or
- You may be interested in a career change or wish to earn an additional income and have no previous experience, or

We are based in the Midlands and close to major motorways, train stations and airports. Local accommodation is available at a reduced rate and we can advice and/or arrange this if you wish. People not only travel from throughout the UK, including Manchester, Kent, South Shields, Liverpool, North East, Portsmouth, Birmingham, Bournemouth, Scotland, North Wales, Leeds, Derby, West Midlands, Bristol and the North West to attend our plastering, plumbing, tiling, carpentry, kitchen fitting, bricklaying and electrical courses but we have had people fly in from Ireland, France, Spain, Canary Islands, Germany and Australia. We are definitely worth travelling to - you are investing in your future.
Our training centre in Stoke-on-Trent has approx 10,000 square feet of purpose built training facilities and our centre in Wolverhampton is approx 3,000 square feet.

A number of our courses now include training within domestic properties, details can be found within the course listings for our plastering courses and electrical courses. We regularly review our courses to ensure that they meet the needs of our those that attend our course and that they meet what is needed within the industry. This is why we no offer training within a dometic property for plastering and electrical installations. We believe that this training is invaluable when using the skills after you have left the centre. If you wish to become a plasterer or a domestic electrical installer it is ideal that your training involves completing work in a real house which is off site.
Whatever your reasons for wishing to learn a trade you will find Construction Skills College the ideal professional, friendly, supportive environment you need to help you achieve your aims. Full support is available after you have completed your course, your tutor is only a phone call away and will help you with any questions you have relating to what was covered on your course.
We welcome you to visit our training centre at anytime to view the facilities, speak with a tutor and speak with current learners and view the work they have completed. If possible it is more beneficial if you attend towards the end of a course as you will be able to see the standard of work that has been acheived and I am sure that if someone was not happy with the training they had received they would tell you (when you visit you are free to talk with current learners).
