Weekend Plastering Course Outline (4 days)

This 4 day plastering course is designed to give you the basic plastering skills to apply finishing plaster to walls and a small ceiling and complete patch and repair work. You will not spend anytime on this course fixing boards or wasting anytime removing your work from the walls. We will arrange this for you.

If you require extra practice skimming you can attend our 1-day skimming practice days.

If you want to learn how to cut and fix plasterboards to stud walls and ceiling and fix to solid wall by dot and dab you should attend our 9-day course. On the 9-day course you will also complete more complex skimming tasks such as raked ceiling, a niche and smaller awkward areas.

Spaces are limited to 10 people on a course at any one time and each person will have their own training area, tools and materials (no sand and lime mixes are used during your training course only real plastering materials).

Weekend Plastering Course Full Details (4 days)

During this 4 day plastering course you will:

Apply plaster to flat walls.
Apply plaster to a wall with a window opening so you can skim the reveals.
Apply plaster to ceiling
Complete patch and repair work.
Understand and carryout preparations required prior to plastering and gain knowledge of different backgrounds that receive plaster.
Understand the different tools and equipment used in plastering.
Understand the range of materials used in plastering including bonding, multi finish, hardwall, different beads, PVA, Thistle Bond-It, etc.
Fully answer all your questions related to what is covered on the course, you are taught by experienced tradesmen with a passion for the trade.
Full support after completing your course. If you have any questions relating to anything that you have covered on your course you are free to contact your tutor or the centre, by telephone, email or by calling into the centre. There is no charge for this and you can call at anytime in the future.

4 Day Plastering Course Start Dates

Duration and Cost

The course is 4 days in duration, delivered over two consecutive weekends, Saturday and Sunday from 8am until 4pm.

The cost of this plastering course is £600 INC VAT.

Our centre based in Stoke-on-Trent, ST6 2DJ. Please arrive at the training centre at least 15 minutes before the course start time.

We ask for a non-refundable deposit of £150 to secure your place on our plastering course and full payment four weeks before your course start date.

Who is this plastering course suitable for

This plastering course is designed for people with little or no previous experience in plastering and is attended by people of all ages.

This course is aimed at people who just want to learn how to apply a finishing plaster / skim and complete patch and repair work.

Tutor Details

Our plastering courses are taught by experienced plasterers. Phil who teaches our plastering courses is a qualified plasterer who has over 30 years experience in the trade.

You can pay for this plastering course either via bank transfer, debit or credit card.

Due to demand for our 9 day plastering course we are not currently taking bookings for our 4-day course. We can add your details to our reserve list and contact you should we have any cancellations.

The main benefit of the 10-day course is that you get to fix plasterboards to solid/block walls and get to plaster more areas which gives you more time to practice, which will give you more confidence to complete plastering jobs away from our centre.
