You are welcome to arrange to visit our centre to see one of our plastering courses in action and see the high standard of work that all learners achieve.  Our  courses are limited to 10 people and they fill up quickly so visit now and book a place.  Join thousands of satisfied customers who have learned a trade with us.

These skimming practice days are only for people who have completed either our 4-day or 9-day plastering courses.  These practice days are for people who want to build their confidence skimming larger areas.  The training bays used for our 4-day and 9-day courses are larger than most in the country (please compare photos), and they offer different challenges but some people have asked for larger areas to build their confidence.  Not all people will need to attend these days (we have only started offering them in 2024 as people have asked for longer duration courses).

Spaces are limited depending on the areas available.

These practice days can be attended during the week and at weekends.

During these practice days you can select to complete any of the following tasks.  If you wanted to, you could attend for more than one day if you wanted to complete more tasks.  Below are details of the different sized walls, rooms, available including the dimensions and the approx. time it should take you to complete. 

Task 1.
Wall measuring &m x &m which should take you & hours to complete.

Task 2.
Wall measuring &m x &m which should take you & hours to complete.

Task 3.
Wall measuring &m x &m which should take you & hours to complete.

Task 4.
Wall measuring &m x &m which should take you & hours to complete.

Task 5.
Ceiling measuring &m x &m which should take you & hours to complete.

Task 6.
Complete room including ceiling.  Room measuring &m x &m which should take you & hours to complete. This would need to be completed over consecutive days.

Task 7.
Board and skim an RSJ and adjoining ceiling.  Measurements are &m x &m which should take you & hours to complete.  This is only available for people who have completed the 9-day plastering course.

Task 8.
Curved ceiling measuring &m x &m which should take you & hours to complete.

Task 9.
Apply a backing plaster to a block wall measuring &m x &m which should take you & hours to complete.

You will not waste anytime on this course removing your work from the walls.  We will complete this for you.

The skimming practice days are available either midweek or on selected Saturdays and Sundays.

The cost £150 per day INC VAT.

Our centre based in Stoke-on-Trent, ST6 2DJ.  Please arrive at the training centre at least 15 minutes before the course start time.

We ask for a non-refundable deposit of £80 to secure your place and full payment four weeks before your course start date.
