City & Guilds External Verifier Report - Willenhall Centre

23 Sep 2010

Date of City & Guilds External Verifier visit: July 27th 2010.                    Location: Willenhall, West Midlands

Two very good observations. Please Note; the first candidate Paul Johnson is totally deaf from birth with Mrs Chris Charles providing the sign language, this again was excellent proof that the 6217 scheme is most suitable for everybody, full credit also to the centre for fully supporting Paul it was a real pleasure to be part of to-days process. A good standard of practical work is being produced by the candidates, good trade practices are being taught & demonstrated by the centre staff with good theory also being taught, this is shown in the answers given by the candidates for the underpinning knowledge questions for each unit. All candidates & staff were wearing the correct PPE.

The centre continues to have a very dedicated team all working together, with excellent support given to all the candidates.

Good evidence again to-day of very good trade practices being taught & demonstrated by the centre staff, with very good quality
work being produced by the candidates, good photographic evidenced being used & inserted into the candidates portfolio to fully
support the candidates practical work. All the candidates & centre staff were wearing the correct PPE. Good quality materials are
being used in all trade skill areas.

The centre continues to offer one to one support for the candidates if required, well laid out candidate portfolio's all completed
correctly with very good underpinning knowledge questions for each unit & very good photographic evidence inserted into each
unit if required.

Please Note: No Action Plan Required For This Centre.
