I have always wanted to learn a new skill like the ones detailed in your
courses, but I’ve never tried work like that and don’t know if I would be any good
Our courses are aimed at teaching people new skills and the majority of people that attend the courses have never had any experience in that line of work before. Everyone on the course has their own training bay and therefore you can work at your own pace throughout the course and the ongoing advice and guidance will be to suit each individual.
If for any reason you struggle with an element of the course, so long as you have put the effort in we will give you extra time at no extra cost to enable you to reach the standard we expect.
After completing our courses high number of our attendees have used the skills they have learnt to either complete work on their own property or for family and friends and some are either working for themselves on a part time or full time basis.
Will I become a qualified plumber, plaster, tiler, painter and decorator after completing the course?
No, and if anywhere offering similar courses state that you will be then you should be weary of them. Our courses are aimed at giving people a start in the respective trades by teaching them the basics and enabling them to practice what they have been taught. Although after completing our courses you will be able to carry out work to a high standard, technically you are not a qualified trades person as you have not achieved all of the available qualifications. For example, just because you attend and pass to Domestic Electrical Installers curse including Part P i does not mean that you are fully qualified electrician.
Someone I know has attended a similar course at a different training school and they weren’t happy with the course. I’m worried that I might be wasting my money. How do I know I’m not?
Unfortunately, there are courses being offered that don’t operate to the same high standards and levels of quality that we do. We recommend you visit our training centre while a course is running so you can discuss its content with both the tutors and students, and you can see the facility for yourself. We’ve had very positive feedback from our students to date which we’ve kept record of, and you’re welcome to read over their comments as well. Since we’re accredited by the NOCN we are regularly assessed so our quality remains high. Please note that we are not associated with any other training centre. We’re also approved by the British Plumbing Employers’ Council (BPEC) to provide industry recognised water regulation courses.
Be aware of training centres that do not provide written details of their courses with all costs clearly printed or training
centres that arrange for people to visit you in your home. We advise that you view all training centres in person and speak with the course tutors and students that are on the courses.
Will I have any support after I’ve finished the course?
Yes, there is support available after you have completed a course and you are welcome to phone, email or call into the training centre to discuss any queries with a member of our team.
I am planning of attending the course so as to work for myself in the respective trade, would I be able to get insurance?
Yes, it is possible to obtain insurance after completing the course and we can provide details of reputable insurance brokers who can arrange this for you.

Will I be able to get a job on a building site or with a company after completing the course?
The majority of people are not going to have the speed to work on a building site after completing the course, you will finish the course with practical knowledge and be able to put those new skills to use but we advise that you build up your speed and gain some experience by acquiring work for yourself. A number of people are now earning money from plastering after completing our course.
Do I get a certificate at the end of the course?
Yes, we will issue you with an attendance certificate after completing the course. If you wish you can also be assessed and upon passing you will be issued with a certificate accredited by the National Open College Network?
Do I need to bring my own tools when I start the course?
No, we will provide all tools and materials over the duration of the course. It is essential that you bring suitable clothing and your own safety steel capped footwear is recommended.
Is it possible to learn so much in 5 days?
Yes because the courses that we offer have been designed so that you are always busy throughout the course. Some training providers spread courses over 2 weeks and you don’t cover any more than us, we cut out all the idle chat and stories and our days are full days — all 5 days are 9am until 5pm with a 30 minute lunch. We send our tutors on our competitors’ courses to ensure we stay the best. We also don’t try to cover to many areas in each course, we would rather you achieve a high standard through practice.
