We believe you’ll learn more about all aspects of a particular trade when you are taught by someone who is actually performing the job on a day-to-day basis.
Our tutors are practised in training people in the respective trades, with backgrounds including teaching at our training centre, instructing apprentices or previous
employment as a tutor at a college of further and higher education.
Our tutors are consistently monitored through customer questionnaires, management observations, internal verification and external moderation to ensure that the level of
tutoring and assessing is kept high.
Starting with the basics...
Our Plumbing Training, Plastering Training, Tiling Training and Bricklaying Training is designed for people who have little or no experience in these skills. During the courses you will receive first class training and will have the opportunity to practice the skills you learn until you are capable and confident of a quality standard of work. More advanced courses are also available.
All of our courses run midweek, Saturdays or Evenings. So there’s no reason why other commitments should stand in the way of your learning a new trade.
Looking for plumbing training?
The objective of our plumbing training is for the attendee to become familiar with the basic tools, materials, preparations and techniques of plumbing. The course contains both practical and theory sessions.
Our plumbing courses offer units on: Domestic Plumbing Pipe Work and Understanding Valves, Taps and Cisterns in Domestic Plumbing. All attendees who complete the course will receive a certificate of attendance issued by The Construction Skills College and the certificate will list the topics covered on the course.
Interested in plastering training?
Our plastering training is suitable for people who have little or no experience of plastering. The objective of this course is for the attendee to become familiar with the basic tools, materials, backgrounds, preparations, and techniques of plastering. The course contains both practical and theory sessions.

If you have basic plastering skills and experience it is possible to devise an advanced course to suit your requirements.

Have you thought about bricklaying training?
Our bricklaying training is suitable for people who have little or no experience of bricklaying. During the course, the attendee is made familiar with the basic tools, materials, preparations, skills and techniques of bricklaying. The course contains both practical and theory sessions.
All attendees who complete our bricklaying courses will receive a certificate of attendance issued by Construction Skills College and the certificate will list the topics covered on the course.
There’s also an advanced bricklaying course available for those who have completed the introduction to bricklaying.
