Plastering NVQ Level 2
As an NVQ approved assessment centre, Construction Skills College are able to offer you the opportunity to acheive your NVQ Level 2 via on site assessment (OSAT).
Who is this course suitable for?
To be eligible for assessment through the OSAT route you must either have underpinning qualifications or who have spent some time working within the industry and have reached a level of competence which falls in line with NVQ code of practice. Our assessors and internal verifiers are all City & Guilds and CAA (Construction Awards Alliance) approved.
So if you are working within the plastering industry then we can come and assess you in the workplace.
The NVQ Assessment Process
It is a requirement for you to be working as a plasterer to obtain a full NVQ.
To start with you will have an interview and induction with your assessor during which the requirements will be discussed with you and an action plan and timetable will be produced.
You will be then be required to gather and record evidence, as discussed during you initial interview and we will provide you with supporting documents to assist you with this.
Your assessor will then arrange to visit you at your place of work to examine and discuss your work and evidence. The number of visits is dependent on individual circumstances. In between visits you will be required to collect further evidence.
Your assessor will then review the evidence with you and sign off completed units if sufficient quantity and quality has been shown.
Any areas that you are unable to provide sufficient evidence will be discussed with your tutor and any training requirements will be discussed.
The time it takes to achieve an NVQ can be dependent on the line of work that you are currently in as you will need to evidence all of the required units.

The cost of this course is £700 INC VAT. This cost includes registration, certification, an online portfolio system and a maximum of three assessor visits.
