Just Want To Learn The Basics or Have-a-go?

You Can For Free...... IF ...
You live in one of these areas:

Norton
Ball Green
Fegg Hayes
Chell Heath

During the summer, Groundwork WM at Burslem has a small amount of money to pay for a one day course for adults who live near Chatterley Whitfield old mine.  The course teaches basic skills in Plastering or Plumbing or a similar trade (one course per person) - ideal for home repairs or if you would like to see if you fancy working in the home construction / reapir industry.

The Small Print:

1)  You will need to attend the Construction Skills Centre 3 weeks prior to your training in order to register - details will be sent to you.  This visit give you the chance to take a look at what you will be doing and where.  Bus fares can be refunded by Groundwork if you keep your ticket.

2)  People who do not attend the registration session will not be able to attend the actual course - this is to protect the places for people who really do want to learn new skills.

3)  Please note that this is hands-on, practical training - you will need suitable clothes to work in i.e. you may not want to turn up on the day in your Armani trainers!

Call Alison on 01782 829900 if you would like to know more or to book a place.

The Tile Association
22 Sep 2009

We are very pleased to announce that this week we received confirmation from The Tile Association that we have been approved as an associated training centre by their committees.

I would like to thank my staff for helping our centre acheive this accolade.  We are one of only a few centres who have been granted approval in the UK.

Are any of our courses funded???
22 Sep 2009

This is a regular question that we are asked.

Funding maybe available but it is dependant on individual circumstances including where you live, if you are facing redundancy or have been made redundant, if you are unemployed and if so which benefits you are receiving.

If you wish to discuss whether you are eligible for funding please phone 01782 837007, email enquiries@tradeteacher.co.uk or call into the training centre.

It will only take a few minutes to discuss if funding is available for you and if it is then we will give you all the details you need to receive these funds.
