CSCS CARDS
CSCS Health and Safety Test

All construction trades that work on building sites are now required to have a recognised level of competence in Health and Safety awareness. A CSCS card demonstrates that the holder of the card has the required level of competence and is essential to you gaining employment or working as a sub contractor on a building site. The Construction Skills Health and Safety test is the industry standard taken by over 300,000 people every year. It is designed to ensure everybody working in construction has a minimum level of Health and Safety awareness.

As well as passing the Health and Safety test, to obtain the Construction Site Operative CSCS card, you need to demonstrate that you can perform a set number of competencies. Throughout your course you will be assessed on these competencies by your tutor and once you have achieved the standard required a member of staff will help you complete your application form. You then need to arrange to sit the Health and Safety test when you feel that you have completed enough home study. You are able to order a book or CD ROM to help prepare you for the test. These can be purchased from any good book store.

Approx 1 hour to sit the test and complete the application form - £75

This cost includes the health and safety test and card application service which includes supplying and completing the application card for you (except section C unless you have completed a relevant training course with us) and arranging for a fast track processing of the application.  Tests are held at our training centre in Stoke-on-Trent.
