Construction Skills College are pleased to be able to offer training packages to service leavers throughout the UK. We are both a preferred supplier to the Career Transition Partnership and also all of the courses detailed on this page are approved for ELCAS funding (all of these packages have an outcome at a Level 3).
Our training courses are offered at both of our centres which are in Stoke-on-Trent and Wolverhampton. Should you need accommodation you can find details of recommend hotels under the accommodation tab on the right menu of this page, for example, The Quality Hotel in Stoke-on-Trent offers dinner, bed and breakfast for £45 per night and the hotel has free parking, free WIFI, free access to a heated swimming pool and gym facilities and it also has its own bar with pool table and sky TV.

If you are eligible to use your enhanced learning credits for training then we offer the following courses that are approved and meet the requirements set by ELCAS. The courses that we offer are aimed to give you a choice of employment routes as we know that 'one course suits all' does not work, some people wish to concentrate on one trade only such as plastering and other people are interested in learning elements of a few trades such as plastering, plumbing and tiling so that they can offer services in each trade individually and also combine those skills for complete projects that potential customers are interested in such as a complete bathroom refurbishment.
Upon completing our training courses you will receive full support from both the training centre and your tutor; so if you have a question relating to anything that was covered during your training or you have questions relating to a potential job then you can contact your tutor directly and the centre to discuss further. We will also offer support with business start-up and have a dedicated e-learning system for you to refer to.

C001 - 17th Edition Electrical Regulations - 4 days - £450 - Level 3
During this course you will complete the City & Guilds 2382, BS7671 17th edition regulations course as described here
This course is suitable for people with a basic understanding of electrical principles.
C002 - Bathroom Installation Course - 30 Days - £2,500 - Level 3
During this course you will complete training in plastering, plumbing, wall and floor tiling and business start-up. The aim of this package is to give you the skills, knowledge and confidence to complete work in the different trades separately and also to combine those skills to complete popular projects such as renovating bathrooms. As a minimum you will complete the following courses;

C003 - Carpentry and Kitchen Course - 15 Days - £1,250 - Level 3
During this course you will complete the training in carpentry and kitchen fitting and business start-up. The aim of this package is to enable you to complete carpentry work such as building stud walls, fitting door frames and hanging doors, fitting architrave as well as planning and fitting kitchens. As a minimum you will complete the following courses;

C004 - Complete Domestic Electrical Installers Course Course - 20 Days - £2,200 - Level 3
During this course you will complete the four recommended training courses to give you the knowledge on domestic installations. The courses are a mixture of practical and theory courses and upon successful completion you will receive industry recognised qualifications. As a minimum you will complete the following courses;

C005 - Plastering and Plumbing Course - 20 Days - £1,750 - Level 3
During this course you will complete training in plastering, plumbing and business start-up. The aim of this package is to give you the skills, knowledge and confidence to complete work in the different trades separately and also to combine those skills to complete popular projects. C006 - Plastering Course - 20 Days - £1,750 - Level 3
During this course you will complete 20 days training in plastering and this training will include 2 weeks training in a domestic property. The aim of this course is to give you the confidence and skills to complete larger plastering work as soon as you have finished the training due to the experience completing the work in a property. As a minimum you will complete the following courses;

If for some reason you fail any assessment whilst on a training course with Construction Skills College you will be allowed a free resit and free additional training.
If you attend a course including units on plastering, plumbing, tiling and carpentry then you will receive a level 3 certificate for each of these trades.
